Jackie Young of SWIMBABES tm and SWIMBABES tm International Workshops conducted a very nice educational event and gathering for some of leading pioneers and experts in teaching babies and young children. Hats off to Jackie for gathering Virginia and leading baby swim experts to Portland.
 

The event was held in Portland, Oregon USA and included educational sessions, social outings as well as giving the opportunity for those in attendance to give feedback about the development of WABC...your thoughts?... survey

Virginia Hunt Newman, WABC founder and honorary chairman was also in attendance - making the 4 hour flight from Chicago. She was very happy to visit with her dear friends made since 1990 and the beginnings of WABC.

A DVD presentation prepared by Jackie Young's son was shown giving new event attendees learned a little more about what Virginia had done over the year's.

Niko (Noriko) Saito (left) from Japan was honored for her contribution to the world of baby and children swimming via her program and method called  Aquamics tm which introduces music and rhythm into the swimming instruction program.

Saito has spoken at several WABC biennial conferences.
